This Privacy Policy explains how GetSportWidgets collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit our website, create or use an account, subscribe to our services, communicate with us, or interact with a website or application that displays a GetSportWidgets Widget.

GetSportWidgets is operated by the legal entity identified in our Legal Notice, which acts as the data controller for the processing described in this Privacy Policy where it determines the purposes and means of that processing.

This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions and Legal Notice.

1. Information We Collect

The information we process depends on how you interact with GetSportWidgets.

Account information

When you create or use an account, we may process information such as your:

• email address;
• name;
• profile image;
• authentication provider;
• account and verification status;
• subscription plan;
• account creation and update dates;
• login and account activity information;
• saved Widget configurations; and
• usage information associated with your account and Widgets.

If you sign in using Google, we may receive basic account information made available through Google OAuth, such as your email address, name, Google account identifier and profile image.

We do not request access to your Google contacts, Google Drive, Google Calendar or similar Google services as part of the standard sign-in process.

If you sign in using an email login link, your email address is used to authenticate and provide access to your account.

Subscription and billing information

Paid subscriptions are processed through Paddle.

We may receive and store information relating to your subscription, such as:

• Paddle customer and subscription identifiers;
• the applicable product or price identifier;
• subscription status;
• billing period information;
• renewal or expiry dates; and
• transaction or subscription events required to manage your access to Pro features.

Payment card details are processed by Paddle and are not stored by GetSportWidgets.

Paddle processes payment and transaction information in accordance with its own privacy notices and terms.

Technical and usage information

When the Service, website or an embedded Widget is accessed, we may collect technical, network and usage information generated by the request.

This may include information such as IP addresses, timestamps, request information, browser or device information, referring or embedding domains, Widget identifiers, account-related identifiers where applicable, network information, performance information, error information and other technical or security-related data.

We may also receive country-level geographic information derived from network information, including information provided by Cloudflare.

We use this information to operate and secure the Service, deliver Widgets, prevent abuse, diagnose technical issues, measure usage, calculate Widget impressions, provide usage statistics, enforce our Terms and improve the Service.

Communications

If you contact us, we may process your email address and the contents of your communication, together with any information you choose to provide.

We may retain correspondence where reasonably necessary to respond to enquiries, provide support, resolve disputes, protect our rights or comply with legal obligations.

2. Embedded Widgets

GetSportWidgets Widgets may be embedded on websites, applications and other digital properties operated by third parties.

When a visitor loads a page containing a Widget, the visitor's browser may connect directly to GetSportWidgets infrastructure in order to load and operate the Widget.

As a result, GetSportWidgets may receive technical and network information relating to that request, as described above.

We use this information for purposes including:

• delivering the Widget;
• maintaining security and availability;
• measuring Widget usage and impressions;
• generating aggregate usage statistics;
• troubleshooting;
• detecting abuse or abnormal traffic; and
• displaying or measuring GetSportWidgets promotional content where applicable.

We may determine the approximate country from which a Widget request originates. Country-level information may be used for usage measurement and for selecting or measuring GetSportWidgets promotional or advertising content.

GetSportWidgets does not currently set or read cookies or use browser local storage through embedded Widgets for tracking or analytics purposes.

Free Widgets may display GetSportWidgets advertising or self-promotional content. We do not currently use third-party advertising networks within embedded Widgets.

The operator of the website or application on which a Widget appears remains responsible for its own privacy practices and for any other technologies used on its property.

3. Website Analytics and Cookies

The GetSportWidgets website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, account functionality and other essential features.

We also use, or may use, Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the GetSportWidgets website.

Where consent is required by applicable law, analytics technologies such as Google Analytics are activated only in accordance with the visitor's consent choice.

Google Analytics may process information about website interactions, browser or device information and similar usage information in accordance with Google's applicable terms and privacy practices.

You may accept or reject optional analytics technologies through the consent controls made available on the website.

Rejecting optional analytics does not prevent you from using the core GetSportWidgets Service.

Embedded Widgets are separate from this website analytics functionality and, as described above, do not currently use cookies or local storage for analytics or tracking.

4. How We Use Personal Data and Our Legal Bases

Depending on the circumstances, we process personal data on the following bases:

Where processing is based on legitimate interests, we consider the nature of the information, the purpose of the processing and the rights and reasonable expectations of the individuals concerned.

5. Service Emails and Marketing Emails

Some communications are necessary to operate your GetSportWidgets account or provide the Service.

These may include login links, account notices, security messages, subscription-related information, important Service updates and other transactional or administrative communications.

You cannot opt out of communications that are reasonably necessary to provide or secure the Service while continuing to use the relevant functionality.

Marketing emails and newsletters are different.

We send optional marketing communications only where you have chosen to receive them, for example by selecting an optional newsletter checkbox.

The newsletter option is not selected by default.

You may withdraw your consent and unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the message or by contacting us.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary Service communications.

6. Service Providers

We use third-party service providers where necessary to operate GetSportWidgets.

These currently include or may include:

• Cloudflare for network infrastructure, security, content delivery and network-derived information such as country-level location.
• Google for Google OAuth authentication and Google Analytics.
• SMTP2GO for sending account, login, transactional and marketing emails.
• Paddle for paid subscription processing, billing and related transaction services.

Our own application databases, Widget infrastructure and core application systems are otherwise operated using infrastructure under our control or selected hosting infrastructure.

Service providers may process information only as required to provide their respective services and are subject to their own contractual and legal obligations.

We may also disclose personal information where required by law, a valid legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, our users, our rights or the rights of others.

We do not sell personal data.

7. International Data Transfers

Some service providers may process personal data in countries outside Romania or outside the European Economic Area.

Where personal data is transferred internationally and applicable law requires safeguards, the transfer may rely on an applicable adequacy decision, contractual safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism.

The specific processing locations and safeguards used by third-party providers may change as their infrastructure and services evolve.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is processed.

The applicable retention period may depend on the nature of the information and why it is processed.

Account information and saved Widget configuration may generally be retained while the relevant account remains active.

When an account is deleted, account-related information is deleted from our active systems except where limited retention is reasonably necessary or required for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Technical, security and usage information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, analyse and improve the Service, investigate technical or security issues and protect our legal rights.

Marketing information is retained until consent is withdrawn or the information is otherwise no longer needed.

Communications may be retained where reasonably necessary for support, operational or legal purposes.

Information that has been aggregated or anonymised so that it no longer identifies an individual may be retained for longer.

9. Account Deletion

Where account deletion functionality is available, you may delete your GetSportWidgets account through the Service.

Deleting an account may result in deletion of saved Widget configurations and loss of access to associated Widgets and Service functionality.

Deletion of a GetSportWidgets account does not necessarily cause third parties acting independently, such as Paddle or Google, to delete information that they are legally or independently entitled or required to retain under their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or misuse.

No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted or stored through the Service.

11. Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances of the processing, you may have the right to:

• request access to personal data concerning you;
• request correction of inaccurate information;
• request deletion of personal data;
• request restriction of processing;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• receive certain personal data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
• lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions provided by applicable law.

If you are in Romania, the competent supervisory authority is the Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal (ANSPDCP).

12. Automated Decision-Making

GetSportWidgets does not currently use personal data to make solely automated decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects concerning individuals.

13. Third-Party Websites and Services

GetSportWidgets may contain links to third-party websites or interact with services operated by third parties.

Their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy notices and are outside our control.

Similarly, GetSportWidgets Widgets may appear on third-party websites or applications whose privacy practices are determined by their respective operators.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Service, our processing activities, service providers, technology or applicable legal requirements.

The current version will be published on the GetSportWidgets website together with its effective or updated date.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
